About Insite-Ed

Insite-Ed was founded in 1995 by Karl von Buddenbrock and has provided corporate training across commerce, mining, research, legal, marketing, finance and government sectors ever since. Insite-Ed is the education and training arm of the Insite/Praxis/Heuristic group. The company's approach is built on customisation: every course is designed around the client's own processes, not a fixed syllabus.

Our Founder
Karl von Buddenbrock founded Insite-Ed in 1995 and has trained corporate and government clients for over 30 years. Before founding Insite-Ed, he lectured on degree programmes at the Johannesburg College of Education and the University of the Witwatersrand. He has designed and delivered courses for a range of institutions — among them Insite-Ed's Technical Report Writing course, developed in conjunction with the CSIR in 2002 and still used by other training providers today.
My Approach
I don't believe in off-the-shelf training. Before I design a course, I spend time inside your business — understanding your processes, your people, and where the gaps actually are. That's what shaped Technical Report Writing, the course I developed with the CSIR in 2002, and it's the same principle behind every programme I've built since.
Thirty years across corporate and government training, and a decade before that lecturing at the Johannesburg College of Education and Wits, have taught me one thing: skills only stick when they're taught in the context where people actually work. So I stay involved after the course ends, too — three months of support, with built-in assessment to make sure it's landed, not just delivered.
